His research interests include information security, data privacy and applied cryptography in areas such as smart grid, smart city, connected cars, e-health, and IoT.

SCOPE

The advancement of V2X systems has eased the communication between smart vehicles and infrastructure while enabling the exchange of information at an ever-increasing rate. This special session aims to gather scientific papers on the realm of security and privacy issues in V2X systems. It is driven by the rising numbers of smart vehicles, their complex systems such as infotainment, and the amount of information that is generated and exchanged in V2X. We welcome papers that identify and report new data collection bad practices such as from service providers, attacks on the existing solutions and also new designs that consider security and privacy.

TOPICS

  • Secure and privacy-preserving access provision protocols
  • Smart contracts in vehicular systems and privacy
  • Private information gathering, inference attacks and profiling
  • Authentication and distance bounding protocols
  • Security and privacy threat analysis
  • Location attacks and privacy-preserving countermeasures
  • Anonymity and privacy-preserving countermeasures
  • Malware detection in smart vehicles
  • Big data, vehicle analytics and privacy
  • Communication protocols and network security
  • Secure and privacy-enhancing connected services
  • Secure automotive control networks
  • Secure vehicular cloud computing
  • Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
  • V2G communication
